Shepherds Retreat Anglesey
Shepherds Retreat Anglesey offers three bespoke shepherds huts which are exclusively for adults. The huts are located within one of the fields on our smallholding located in the centre of the beautiful isle of Anglesey. We are a small family run business offering a tranquil retreat, surrounded by only farmland and our 4 pet alpacas.
Our huts have been designed by us and offer a private kitchen, ensuite shower room, log burner (in George & Max), outdoor barbecue area, fire pit and outdoor seating / dining area where you can sit and watch our alpacas.

Had a brilliant stay, the shepherds huts were nicely spaced out overlooking the alpacas, felt really private. The interior of the shepherds hut was much better than expected, everything was well furnished with subtle agricultural decor and furnishings. The cooking appliances were great especially if not bbq weather! We kindly had the chance to feed the alpacas, great chance to learn about them and ask for recommendations in the area. Location was good, not too far from some country footpaths and about 20 minute walk to a village with a shop and two pubs. Overall would recommend to any couples that are looking for a central location on Anglesey and enjoy the company of alpacas!

Great weekend away! Lee communicated with us beforehand and had check in instructions in plenty of time! Self check in was very easy and there's a good amount of instructions etc inside that we may need! The inside was very clean and had everything we needed. The outside has a cute seating area and overlooks the alpaca field! Great location with easy parking and option to walk out from the site and into the countryside! We will come and stay again and I highly recommend! :)

lovely little hut in a getaway. They had 4 cute alpacas with their own fun personalities which we got to feed. The place is taken very good care of and looks very pleasing. Lee was very kind to us and was responsive when we wanted to feed the alpacas.

Had the most beautiful stay here with my boyfriend over the weekend! The cabin was perfect and so peaceful/private but only short drives to get to the beaches etc. The cabin was so cosy and beautiful, it was so hard to leave. Lee was amazing too, so responsive and helpful if we had any questions. The alpacas were such a treat, waking up to them outside the hut in the morning was so lovely and we even got to feed them! Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back, couldn't be happier honestly! Thank you :)

Just returned from a 2 night stay at shepherds retreat, what a fantastic short break, the Shepherds huts are so unique and quirky, attention to detail is on on another level, well equipped with everything you need for a break away from it all. Welcome goodies provided on arrival included milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, crisps. Towels, tea towels, hand soap all provided, thank you Lee, very much appreciated. Situated in a quiet part of Anglesey with 4 Alpacas on site, guests are welcome to feed them, didn't get chance ourselves this time, but will make it a must on our next visit.We highly recommend Shepherds retreat, a big thank you to Lee & Rob for a memorable stay, we will definitely be back. Perfect stay! The whole hut was immaculate, everything had been thought through. Such a peaceful stay we loved watching the alpacas and rabbits and listening to the birds. Feeding the alpacas was a lovely bonus too!The location worked well for us to explore different areas of the island. Thank you!

This is by far the most luxurious Shepherd's Hut we've ever stayed in. The photos did not do it justice. The attention to detail is phenomenal. It really is utterly charming. The facilities and quality of what was provided is easily equivalent to a 4* hotel.In my opinion, the hosts go above and beyond, which allows their guests to have a break from the hustle and bustle of life. The Welsh cake, local coffee, allocated parking, fire pit and many other touches just added to our break.The tranquility of this location made us feel like we were away for a week, over a weekend. It was idyllic.We are so grateful we chose this site; we would not hesitate to book for a return visit or to stay for a longer time. Thank you so much

This was a great find. Very lucky with the weather on the Sunday. Hut was very comfortable, very quiet, could hear loads of birds. The Alpacas were the main attraction and were amazing. Would highly recommend to any adults that like these animals and want to escape for a few days. Good location for exploring other parts of Anglesey like South Stack for puffins & birds.
